Soundstream xxx 1812/27/2022 ![]() ![]() of next year, but I guess I get one of the first ever made! I will also make sure to make a video of the whole setup when it comes together! Its the RE Audio VLX-4DE! This amp puts out 7000 Watts RMS 14.4 Volts!! :screaming: I CANT WAIT! The amp will take a week to come from the factory and then its going straight into the Safari on the Solo x 18! HERE I COME HEADLIGHT DIMMING!!! :doh:Įdit: I also forgot to mention that this amp isn't supposed to be manufactured until Feb. On a side note, the SoundStream XXX-4000D amp I was waiting on won't be coming anymore :/ Apparently SoundStream has this amp on back order for several months so I decided to look for another amp. I checked my voltage after and it was at 16 volts even! Before it was at 14.6 I will be finishing the rest of the Big 3 Upgrade very soon when it isn't so COLD out!! I also disconnected my capacitor and will be buying another battery very soon with the money I make from selling the cap. ![]() I replaced the ground from my front battery to my frame with 0 Gauge wire. Well like I said, feedback on the alternator would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking! ALL COMMENTS WELCOME! I haven't had the chance to get tested on an SPL meter, but my decibels are way up there! I actually have the loudest car out of everyone I have compared to, and plan on getting louder! :shifty: ![]() the 18 already puts out enough bass! My rear speakers are 6.5 inch as well, but are made by Majestic. My front 6.5 inch speakers are pioneer 2-Way speakers & I also ran tweeters off of them on either side to help boost treble in the car. I had to make my own continuous power cable going to my head unit from my battery, because I was unable to figure out why my stock one wasn't working :/ I'm not really looking to upgrade it until after I get the new alternator & make a new box! OH and my RCA's and remote turn on wire both connect directly to the deck. As for my RCA's, I bought 20 ft., double-shielded, twisted cable made by Directed.Īll I have for a head unit at the moment is a basic Pioneer CD/MP3 player with a front auxillary plug-in. My speaker wire going from the amp into the sub is all 8 gauge wire. From the second battery, I have more 0 gauge wire going up to the capacitor and then into the amp (where it will be). yes thats 1.5 inches all the way around I will be making a new box hopefully soon that looks alot better and that doesn't use a 5 gallon bucket as a portįor wiring, I have 0 gauge Kicker wire going from my alternator all the way back to my second battery. The sub is in a 12.8 cubic foot, double-boarded box. I haven't upgraded my alternator yet, but am definately looking into it and would LOVE feedback as to where I can purchase a new, High-Output alternator! I'm hoping for around a 250 Amp alternator for a decent price! :feedback: I am running (2) X2-Power Deep Cycle AGM High-Output Batteries in my car along with a 20 Farad Capacitor. I don't think I have nearly enough power to keep up with this beast, since it draws 280 Amps at full power! ![]() By the way, its 4,000 Watt RMS 1-Ohm on 16volts. I currently am waiting on my SoundStream XXX-4000D to get shipped to me, but will put pics up of it as soon as I receive it! My older amp crapped out on me and decided to take out my old voice coil with it, so I have the new '07 cone on my Solo x 18. ![]()
